Mark Zuckerberg said something important. He said AI lets one person do a job that needed many people before. That seems like a great way to get more done. But it changes what a company means when it wants to hire someone. At his company Meta the plan is to use more AI. They also want smaller work groups. They will make it much harder to get a job there. Every job will need a very good person to fill it.

When you watch the clip, pay attention to the pressure shift: it’s no longer “can you do the job,” it’s “can you multiply yourself with AI.” Meta’s own leadership is basically signaling that AI-native workers will be treated like force multipliers and everyone else risks feeling slow, expensive, or redundant.
People feel very differently about this. Some think it is a great future. They say there will be less time spent in meetings. There will be less annoying company rules. More work will get finished. The best workers will have more power and freedom.
Other people are worried. They hear one person can do the work of a whole team. They think there will be fewer starter jobs for young people. They think job reviews will be much tougher. They see a workplace where only people who are very good with AI will keep their jobs. And all this happens while companies still say they are looking to hire new people.

This changes the whole idea of a career path. AI makes each engineer able to do much more work. Meta says their AI coding tools already prove this. The computer power to run these AIs is also hard to get.
Because of this companies will probably hire fewer people. They will only hire for a small number of top jobs. They will expect much more work from each person they do hire.
This could mean companies will not plan to hire big teams anymore. Getting a job will be much harder. A tough new normal is coming. Using AI at work will not be a choice. You will have to use it just to keep your job.
