Sydnie Christmas is indeed one of a kind singer. No wonder her amazing voice gives you goosebumps whenever you listen to it. If you watched Britain’s Got Talent lately, you probably know who Sydnie Christmas is. She didn’t just win the trophy. She became a superstar! But her journey to the big stage is even more exciting than you might think.
Sydnie grew up in Gravesend, England. She always loved performing, so she attended a special school to learn to sing and act. She received her formal musical training at the D&B Academy of Performing Arts in London and graduated in 2014.
What Britain’s Got Talent Didn’t Tell You About Sydnie Christmas
Following her training, she gained professional experience performing on cruise ships like Independence of the Seas and Quantum of the Seas, and in Starlight Express in Germany before winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2024.
Before she was famous, she had some pretty cool adventures. She actually lived on giant cruise ships, singing for people while they traveled across the ocean!
She even moved all the way to Germany to star in a show called Starlight Express. In that show, the actors actually perform on roller skates! At first, her job was a “swing,” which means she had to learn many different parts just in case someone got sick.
It was hard work, and back at home, she even worked at a gym to help pay her bills. It’s a great reminder that talent does not guarantee fame right away. It’s a lengthy process involving hard work and, of course, luck, that gives them a path.
Everything changed when she auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent. She sang a famous song called “Tomorrow,” and it was so brilliant that one of the judges, Amanda Holden, hit the “Golden Buzzer.” She skipped the queue of performances and went straight to the semi-finals!

Sydnie didn’t let that stop her. She stayed kind and focused. In the grand final, she sang “Over the Rainbow” and was so incredible that the fans voted her the winner. She went from working in a gym to being the biggest star in the country!
Sydnie’s story shows us that if you keep practicing and never give up, your “tomorrow” can be very bright. We can’t wait to see where her voice takes her next!
