The first thing Hannah Harper wants to do after winning American Idol

After months of emotional performances, viral moments, and finally winning American Idol, Hannah Harper is already thinking about what comes next. But the first thing she told Ryan Seacrest she wanted when the season ended had nothing to do with fame or music,

IT WAS A NAP

Hannah says what she wants to do after the finale is over

Minutes before the results were read, Hannah was completely overwhelmed. Backstage after winning, she described the whole thing as surreal.

“It’s not real,” she said with a laugh. “I’m going to wake up tomorrow, right? Life’s going to be normal.” She also joked that she’d been crying so hard during the confetti moment that a star got stuck in her eyelash.

The moment she won!

The plan after that rest is anything but slow. Hannah said she’s taking two weeks at home with her husband and three boys, then hitting the road.

“I’m going on tour, man,” she said backstage. “We’re going to announce a String Cheese tour in the next few days in theaters and small towns.

It’s not anything huge, but it’s something close to my heart.” Shows are already set to kick off in June and run through October.

Fans who followed her all season weren’t surprised. Her whole run on the show. From “String Cheese” at auditions to “Married Into This Town” and “At The Cross” in the finale, it all felt like the story of someone who never lost sight of home, even as the stages got bigger.

Her husband and kids were with her in LA throughout the competition, and she’s been open about how much that meant to her.

Hannah opens up about plans for the future

Now she’s heading to New York for Good Morning America and Live with Kelly and Mark, then straight into tour prep.

But for now, American Idol has planned a trip to Alaska on a Disney cruise line vacation for Hannah and Jordan as the reward for their tremendous hardwork

For someone whose biggest dream a year ago was getting off the couch during a hard stretch of postpartum depression, the pace of it all must feel pretty wild.

But if her answer to Seacrest’s question told fans anything, it’s that no amount of confetti changes what matters most to her.
