Some music stars spend years planning their big break. Courtney Hadwin’s career started with a moment that almost fell apart.
In 2018, a nervous 13-year-old girl walked onto the stage of America’s Got Talent. She was so shy she could barely look at the judges. Her voice shook when she spoke. It looked like she might run off the stage. Then, the music started.
Courtney suddenly exploded. She began singing “Hard to Handle” with a giant, soulful voice. She danced like a rock star from the 1960s, twisting and stomping around. The judges were shocked. Simon’s jaw literally dropped to the table!

Her audition video was a massive hit, getting tens of millions of views. Judge Howie Mandel loved it so much that he hit the Golden Buzzer, sending her straight to the live shows.
A Different Path to Fame
Most people who get famous on TV try to release music as fast as possible. Courtney did something different. She signed a record deal but then stepped away from the spotlight. She spent several years figuring out her own style.
She practiced writing her own songs and building her confidence away from the cameras.
The Return of the Rock Star
When Courtney came back, she sounded even better. She performed a song called “Monsters” that showed how much stronger her voice had become. She began releasing new songs like “Spellbound” and “You Only Love Me When I Lie.” These songs have a darker, more mature rock sound.

What’s Next for Courtney?
Now 20 years old, Courtney is ready for her biggest step yet. Her first album, Little Miss Jagged, came out on September 12, 2025. Her new music, like the song “D.N.A.,” mixes gritty rock with fun rhythms.
People are excited to see her perform live again. One of her London shows sold out in just minutes. While she just completed her UK tour, there are speculations that she might be playing at big music festivals in Portugal as well.
Courtney Hadwin is still that same quiet girl from the audition, but she isn’t hiding anymore. She took the time she needed to grow, and now she is ready to show the world her true power.
