You know the Bee Gees, right? They wore shiny suits, had big hair, and sang in very high voices. But one brother had a secret life that was totally wild.
His name was Maurice Gibb, but his friends in the mud called him “Commander Mo” because he was obsessed with paintball!
When Maurice wasn’t on stage singing “Stayin’ Alive,” he wasn’t relaxing in a pool. Instead, he was crawling through the dirt in camouflage clothes, holding a high-tech paintball gun!
Maurice loved paintball so much that he spent thousands of dollars on the best gear. He even had a fleet of seven pimped-out cars (PT Cruisers) to carry his equipment for the game. He even opened his own giant shop called “Commander Mo’s” just so he could be around the game all day!

Maurice had a team he played on, the Royal Rat Rangers, and was known as the team’s brain.
He was so good and so serious that he actually took his team to the Paintball World Cup! Imagine being a teenager playing paintball on the weekend. You turn a corner, and suddenly, one of the richest, most famous singers in history shoots you with a ball of bright green paint!
It doesn’t stop here! Maurice did blend his obsession with his talent!

He loved the game so much that he went into the studio to record its official anthem! The song was called “The Bridge.” He made that loud, heavy, pulsing beat just for the Paintball World Series TV show.
While his brothers were singing about romance, Maurice was making music for people to dodge paint to! He loved it because, in the mud, nobody treated him like a superstar. He was just another soldier in the game, listening to his own music while diving through the dirt.
