The King of Pop still Rules. Biopic shatters record with $217 million business 

It’s been more than a decade since the King of Pop left the world. But the latest released biopic “Michael” pulling in $217M on opening day, just proves that legends don’t fade away. Michael Jackson made a comeback on cinema screens and fans showed up with their hearts on their sleeves saying it’s the best biopic they’ve ever seen!

Some fans broke down in tears while others danced in the aisles watching MJ’s nephew Jaafar resurrect his uncle perfectly. Theaters were packed and shows sold out almost instantly proving the biopic was a roaring success. 

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL!

While the movie’s million dollar business shows a deep interest and love towards MJ’s life. There are a lot of aspects that have been kept hidden. 

His biopic doesn’t depict anything about his child abuse allegations, his arrest regarding the case, and his court settlements, when in reality they were a big part of his life.

The movie may have broken opening day records of previously made biopics, but audiences shared mixed feelings about “Michael”. Somewhere between describing his true identity and life experience in contrast to his enormous success in the music industry and being recognized as the world’s most famous  pop icon, the truth got lost.
