Willie Nelson’s Country Music Reissue Gives Fans One More Look At The Songs That Shaped Him

Willie Nelson is bringing Country Music back for fans who still love the sound of old country done the honest way.

WILLIE NELSON IS REVISITING THE SONGS THAT BUILT HIM.

Originally released in 2010, Country Music has now returned as a 2026 reissue on vinyl, CD, and hi-res digital formats. The album was produced by T Bone Burnett with a stripped-down, traditional sound built around fiddle, steel, mandolin, banjo, guitar, and Willie’s unmistakable voice.

But here’s the special part…

The album opens with “Man With The Blues,” the only Willie Nelson original on the record. He wrote it back in 1959, decades before this album gave it a new home.

And that’s not all…

The rest of the album is Willie honoring the country songs that helped shape his musical life. The tracklist includes classics like “Dark As A Dungeon,” “Satisfied Mind,” “Pistol Packin’ Mama,” and “House Of Gold.”

At 93, Willie still proves that age does not end an artist’s relationship with the music that made him.

It deepens it.

Here’s why the album matters…

Country Music debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart, reached No. 20 on the Billboard 200, and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album.

Here’s the truth…

This reissue is not about chasing trends.

It is Willie handing fans a map of the songs, sounds, and traditions that helped make him Willie Nelson.
