But when Michael Jackson’s biopic hit the screens, played by her own grandson Jaafar, she couldn’t resist. Despite her visible weakness and frail health, her maternal love pulled her into the cinema to catch a glimpse of her long-lost son.
She was weak, but she was still there for her son
For Katherine, it was a chance to see her son’s legacy again, even if only through a screen. A reminder of the child she raised and the star he became.
At the premiere, Katherine showed her support for the cast, including Colman Domingo, who portrayed her late husband Joe Jackson. Her endorsement meant more than any award, especially for Domingo stepping into such a complex role.
