You have to actually let the audience feel your pain.
So, she made a terrifying choice. She completely cut the rope.
She walked onto the stage to sing Noah Kahan’s “Call Your Mom.” It is a desperate, heavy song about begging someone to survive a dark night. She left her trusted guitar backstage. Without her instrument, she had absolutely nowhere to hide. She just stood perfectly still in the spotlight.
She let her raspy, raw voice carry the entire weight of the story.

It did not look like a standard television performance. It looked like a real, vulnerable person finally telling the absolute truth. Watching Kyndal step out into the open leaves us with a very quiet, powerful lesson. Comfort is a wonderful thing to have. But if you truly want to reach people and change your life, you have to be willing to leave your safe spaces completely behind.
